Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowships

There are two types of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowships. Global- and European Fellowships. As Switzerland is not associated to Horizon Europe, Swiss institutions can only participate as the so-called “outgoing hosts” for Global Fellowships. For European Fellowships the SNSF set up a similar back-up scheme (see SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships). Please contact us for more information.

Scope of the program:

  • bottom-up research projects
  • Application with supervisor from host institution in EU or Associated Country
  • Key aspects: transnational mobility, scientific excellence, career development and training
  • For researchers with a PhD (max 8 years after PhD)
  • Mobility rule: Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies) in the country of the beneficiary (European Fellowship), or the host organisation for the outgoing phase (Global Fellowship) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline
  • For researchers that are nationals or long-term residents of an EU member state or an associated country (Global Fellowship only)

Make sure you have the support from your supervisor.

A country-dependent flat rate to cover salary and research costs is provided for 12 or 24 months fellowships (European) and 24 or 36 months fellowships (Global).
