About SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships

There are two types of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowships. Global- and European Fellowships. As Switzerland is not associated to Horizon Europe, Swiss institutions can only participate as the so-called “outgoing hosts” for Global Fellowships. For European Fellowships the SNSF set up a similar back-up scheme. Please contact us for more information and for an eligibility check.

bottom-up research projects
Application with supervisor from host institution in Switzerland. Possible host institutions: higher education institutions or non-commercial research institutions
Key aspects: transnational mobility, scientific excellence, career development and training

For researchers with a PhD (max 8 years after PhD)
Mobility rule: Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Switzerland for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the submission deadline

Flat rate to cover salary and research costs is provided for 12 or 24 months fellowships.
