Application portals

eResearch - Web platform for ETH research applications
eResearch is a software for submitting, reviewing and managing ETH Zurich applications. It collects all relevant data in one place, allows access to multiple contacts such as applicants and reviewers, and provides a quick overview of applications and grants for grant holders as well as grant managers. eResearch is therefore an important part of the digital infrastructure of the Grants Office and other ETH-units.
eResearch can be accessed at https://eresearch.ethz.ch.
If you are using eResearch for the first time, please create an account on the eResearch web platform. If you are already employed at ETH and have an ETH email address, please make sure to register with your short ETH email address (). Detailed descriptions of the application procedure can be found on the individual funding programmes websites.

Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) application systems
The external page SNSF is switching from the old web platform "mySNF" to the new "SNSF Portal". The transition is happening gradually. At present, you have to be registered in both application systems in order to submit an application. Depending on the funding programme, you can then submit your proposal either via "mySNF" or the "SNSF Portal":
Please register well in advance of your proposal submission and check which application system you have to use. This information is displayed on the landing page of the new "SNSF Portal" and on the individual external page SNSF funding programme websites.
European Funding & Tenders Portal
The external page EU Funding & Tenders Portal (EU F&T Portal) is the main entry point for funding programmes and procurement options managed by the European Commission and other EU institutions and agencies. It allows you for instance to:
- Search for EU funding opportunities (known as calls for proposals)
- Learn more about EU programmes
- Look for partners for collaboration
- Register as an expert to work for the European Union Institutions
- Find guidance on how to apply and how to participate in EU programmes
- Access a library of key documents and video tutorials
- Search for results of EU-funded projects
The EU F&T Portal section external page Guidance & Manuals lists online guides through the various processes from proposal preparation to the reporting of your on-going EU project.
The external page F&T Portal IT How To complements them with richly illustrated step-by-step practical guidance.
